If you want to get the ball rolling on your personal style journey, and the thought of hiring a personal stylist or personal shopper is just too overwhelming at this time, you can take the first step yourself, by booking a colour analysis. I promise you, it is the most gentle, soft launch into securing great style for yourself.

The formula for great style is …

  1. Understanding your style personality.

This is just dressing true to yourself and that’s basically it. It’s really about dressing in a style that you feel resonates with who you are, and you feel comfortable in that clothing. So, if you were a similar type to Princess Mary of Denmark for instance, and you saw Kim Kardashian in this amazing dress and you thought you could pull it off, this would be an example of not being true to your style personality. That dress I guarantee would sit in your closet and rarely or never be worn, simply because that dress would not align with your style personality and who you were at your core, and for this reason, would always feel ‘off’.

  1. Fit

Great tailoring or clothes that fit you perfectly, is an incredibly critical factor in raising your style. As Kendall Farr once said,

‘One universal truth about women with great personal style is that their clothes fit - really fit’.

And, as Hubert de Givenchy once said,

“The dress must follow the body of a woman, not the body following the shape of the dress”.

  1. Colour

A great outfit in a colour that does not suit you, is no longer a great outfit. Colour makes or breaks not only your outfit, but your style gets taken down with it if the colour does not harmonise with you. If the colour is wrong, then the focus goes straight to the outfit and the eye will dart between the dress and your face and there won’t be any connection. If the colour is great, then the eye goes directly to the whole of you (outfit included) rather than just the outfit. Not only that, your complexion will look a whole lot healthier and you create for yourself a more put-together look.

A colour analysis is a matter of making an appointment, turning up, sitting in a chair while you’re draped with a number of specially coded colour drapes, until we arrive at your palette. That palette is for life. It’s simple, easy and so useful. You take home a swatch palette that is a guide to the colours that suit you, and you can forever use this palette to make better shopping choices that are easier and faster.
